August’s Chiropractic Mission to Montana

Crossroads was founded with a mission to educate and adjust as many families as possible towards optimal health through natural chiropractic care.  Initially our goal was to impact the greater Concord community, then we saw a need for our care in the Lakes Region.  But in 2012, Dr Jen, Dr Stephanie and Dr. John expanded our hands of service to South America.  Crossroads first mission trip was to assist a chiropractor who was adjusting children in orphanages in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.  Then in 2013 they joined a team of chiropractors serving on the Ft Peck Indian Reservation in Montana.  While our Crossroads mission trips continued in the following years to Haiti and the Dominican Republic, the children right here in the United States stayed on our minds.  Since then our team has been part of two service trips to the Ft. Peck Indian Reservation and this August Dr. Stephanie and her daughters will return again.

Most people don’t realize that living conditions on the Indian reservation are similar to that of a third world country.  The high school drop-out rate, drug and alcohol abuse and suicide rates are higher than anywhere else in the United States.  Further, the life expectancy for a child on the reservation is 35 years shorter than a non-reservation child. Our mission not only brings chiropractic care to Ft. Peck, but also needed goods, non-perishable food and construction projects.

In the past, the Love Has No Colors Chiropractic Team has built bunk beds for the orphanage, an ice hockey rink and a movie theater. This summer we will be building a geodesic greenhouse at the school to grow organic vegetables.  We’ll also be adjusting the community, hosting a Kid’s Health Day in two separate towns, delivering groceries door to door, visiting the prison to adjust, supporting the orphanage, and handing out school supplies and new backpacks.

Want to help out? You can donate a NEW backpack at any Crossroads location or make a monetary donation on or before August 2nd.  To hear more about Ft. Peck, check out the radio archives for Dr. Stephanie’s Half Hour to Health interview with Love Has No Color Founder Dr. Kevin Pallis from July 2018. LISTEN HERE
