I have spent over a year living among the woods and mountains, traveling on foot the length of the east coast up and down mountain trails. While living day in and day out within nature, the boundaries of myself and the world around me melted away, and I began realizing that I was just as much a part of the beautiful natural scenes around me as the flowers, trees, and wildlife were; I breathe the same air, drink up the same sunlight. I have the same life running through-out me that all living things do. I realized that the same laws that apply to nature, apply to me. Think about this for a minute; we all know that if we pollute a pond, the water will be gross, and all the living things within that pond will end up sick and dying. Well, the same thing is true for us! If we pollute ourselves with junk food, sodas, medications, nerve interference etc, our internal bodies will become out of balance and we’ll become sick. We all seem to know that we shouldn’t give our pets anything but water to drink because it can harm them, but why do we seem to lose sight of this when it comes to our kids and ourselves? We are no different then any other animal or plant when it comes to the laws of nature, yet I believe we all tend to forget that we aren’t above nature, but we are in fact a part of it.
While being immersed in nature for as long as I was, I started realizing that there is a lot of wisdom in everything living thing; there is wisdom within every flower, tree, and animal around. An acorn can grow into a mighty oak tree, and no one needs to tell it how to do this. All it needs is the right amount of water, right amount of sunlight, right amount of food, no interference and it will thrive. That acorn growing into an oak doesn’t need any help, it just needs no interference. We have this same wisdom within us. We grow into human beings from two cells, one egg and one sperm. No one ever needs to tell these cells what to do or how to grow into a human, these cells just innately “know”. For nine months, these cells multiply, divide, form and grow until they make a perfect creation, until a baby is created. A baby developing in a womb doesn’t need help, it just needs no interference. This wisdom did not up and leave us when we were born, it is always within us! This wisdom, which we chiropractors refer to as Innate Intelligence is always working at 100% to keep us at our best; the way it does this is working through our nerve system, our main communication system in our bodies. This is what chiropractic works with! Chiropractors work with the spine by helping to remove any interferences within the nerve system which are interferences of the expressions of our inborn wisdom. Just as that acorn didn’t need any help, it just needed no interference, our bodies, our wisdom within doesn’t need help, it just needs no interference with its expression of life.
Remember that we, as humans are a part of nature, we are not separate from it; remember
that the wisdom that created us did not leave us, it is always within us, remember that it doesn’t need help, it just needs no interference….Remember to have your spine checked regularly to help remove interference to your Life Expression!
