Chiropractic Helps Everyone

Hello!
It’s me, Dr. Stephanie! I am excited to be writing my first blog! Thanks for reading!

To start with, I’ll share a secret… on occasion I visit our local Starbucks. The last time I was in, I saw a gentleman who looked familiar in that I’ve-seen-you-around-town kind of way. Now I’ve lived in Concord since I was born here 33 years ago (except for those long hard years spent at chiropractic college in Iowa). So there are a lot of people who look familiar to me. On this day, I was feeling outgoing, so as he was making his coffee just right ,with the perfect blend of milk and sugar, I walked up to him with the lame line, “Where do I know you from?” No, I wasn’t trying to pick him up. I was just curious where I knew him from. Really.

In conversation I learned that he was a former local politician, and that perhaps I had even voted for him years ago. He had listened to my radio show on 107.7FM often enough to know I rave about all that chiropractic can do. He asked, “Chiropractic can’t help everything, can it? How about things like M.S.?” To which I replied, “Chiropractic can’t cure everything, but it DOES help everyone function better, no matter what condition they have.” I think that is a fair assessment.

The fact is, chiropractic doesn’t cure anything, except subluxation. (Subluxation is the misalignment of a vertebra which intereferes with the nerve system function.) When chiropractic adjustments are given to remove subuxation, the whole body works and heals better. And it works better no matter what condition you are labeled with!

Even people with the worst of conditions can benefit from chiropractic care – even AIDS. Seleno, Pfleger, Grostic et al studied the effects of specific upper cervical adjustments on the CD 4 counts of HIV positive patients and published their findings in the Chiropractic Research Journal. All patients in the study were on the drug AZT. The control group was NOT adjusted and had a 7.96% decrease in their CD4 cell count. The group that was adjusted experienced a 48% increase in CD4 levels. Amazing! The immune systems of HIV-positive patients improved under chiropractic care! It is interesting to note that the patients and the funding were pulled from the follow up study. Why I wonder? Politics, money? Could it be?

The moral of this story: Everyone needs to have their spine checked for subluxation. Everyone can benefit from adjustments, no matter what their diagnosed condition. Subluxation is pandemic – our sedentary lifestyle combined with the unhealthy repetitive motions of living in the industrialized world, everyone’s spine and nerve systems are at risk. If you haven’t been checked (or the rest of your family hasn’t been checked yet) by a qualified chiropractor, PLEASE, go now. It could change your life.

Wishing you extraordinary health today and always,
Dr. Stephanie
