Never Give Up!

Never give up. Always look for new ways to help your body heal.  The below case study chronicles a US Veteran who was 100% disabled with a 12-year history of debilitating low back pain.  After six months of chiropractic care he was able to walk unassisted and complete his activities of daily living!  What I love about chiropractic is that it has restored quality of life for millions, including people who had lost hope and turned to chiropractic as a “last resort.”  Please tell your friends and family members about what you’ve learned here at Crossroads.  Life truly is better when you’re well-adjusted!

Annals of Vertebral Subluxation Research ~ September 7, 2017 ~ Pages 147-151

Objective: The purpose of this case study is to report the presentation and intervention for a U.S. military veteran who received chiropractic care for vertebral subluxation at a teaching facility.

Clinical Features: The patient presented with low back and neck pain spanning 12 years and under the Veterans Affairs Medical Center was deemed 100% disabled.

Intervention & Outcomes: Lumbar Oswestry, Neck Disability, vitals, range of motion, orthopedic, and neurological exams were used to analyze physical examination findings both before and after spinal adjustment for vertebral subluxation. The patient was continually re-evaluated as care progressed over a 6-month period. The patient’s Lumbar Oswestry, Neck Disability Index, vitals, range of motion, orthopedic, and neurological findings all improved under care. Patient was able to resume ambulating unassisted and regained the ability to perform many activities of daily living.

Conclusions: This patient initially received medical care with a classification of 100% disability and can now resume activities of daily living with no complication following the delivery of chiropractic care for vertebral subluxations. More rigorous research, such as a clinical trial design would help to answer the question of effectiveness of the chiropractic care.
