We are a few days into our Spring 21 Day Cleanse. Our cleansers are cleaning up their eating by eliminating dairy, processed sugar, most grains, soy and artificial ingredients. They are eating lots of veggies, fruit, protein shakes and will soon add back lean fish, organic chicken and grass-fed meats to their diets.
Even if you aren’t ready to dive in for a big shift in your dining choices, you can still make subtle changes with the foods and snacks you reach for each day. Think real food: food that grew from the ground or walked upon it. Grab for an apple, crisp veggies or nut butter on a banana instead of the sugary granola bar or soft drink pick-me-up in the afternoon.
Below is an easy recipe that even the pickiest kids will love, carrot fries! And remember, your eating habits are the ones your children will learn. If you don’t have the will power for yourself, do it for your family. Make healthier choices one meal at a time and the cumulative effects will be life-changing!
