“Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone”
― Pablo Picasso
I’m not willing to leave access to chiropractic undone in New Hampshire. We’re not putting off spreading chiropractic any longer… it’s time to expand our reach. Our country is sicker than ever. Treating ailments, diseases and microbes is merely a band aid to the bigger problem. 70% of deaths in America are from lifestyle diseases. We don’t exercise enough, we eat toxic food and we’re stressed to the max. The average American has poor posture and does nothing to care for his spine. Living with unaddressed spinal misalignments taxes the nervous system and causes a lack of clear communication between the brain and the body. As in any system, where communication fails, there is breakdown. I love the beauty and simplicity of chiropractic. Regular adjustments improve communication, by restoring optimal structure and function to the spine so the body can heal itself, naturally. Every family needs a chiropractor on their wellness team.
If you had asked me in my early years in practice if I had intentions of expanding, or even adding another doctor besides me into Crossroads, the answer would have been a resounding “No!” After all, I am an only-child and love to do it all myself. But by 2007 I had to admit that my body was showing signs of the wear and tear of adjusting; In fact, I found myself icing my wrists at lunchtime and again after the evening shift. For years it had been mind-over-physical-matter for me: I kept going because I saw the difference that my chiropractic adjustments were making. Babies who previously suffered chronic ear infections were healthy, inhaler use was being eliminated for asthmatic kids and I was helping dads with low back pain play ball again. Crossroads was having amazing results, both in the healing department but also in changing the way our practice members cared for their bodies. I didn’t want to slow down, but I couldn’t adjust anymore people while I was falling apart. One day in November of 2007, divine intervention gave me the clarity that Crossroads needed more healing hands and later that year (and in the years following) some wonderful chiropractors came into Crossroads to help care for our community.
As we grew to help more families, we began attracting people from way up north. They would drive an hour each way to get adjusted. Seeing the need to provide corrective chiropractic care to families in Meredith, Plymouth and the northern lakes region, Dr. Graham joined us and opened Crossroads Chiropractic Lakeside. More awesome stories of children’s lives being changed who suffered from illnesses, ADHD and autism poured into our testimonial books. Since opening Lakeside four years ago, it has become apparent to us that more opportunities for regular, affordable, quality chiropractic care need to be made available throughout our state. In short, our goal is to make a shift in health of New Hampshire through educating and adjusting as many families as possible.
Life is busy, it is easy to procrastinate, easy to make excuses and easy to put things off until tomorrow. Likewise, when making big decisions, it can feel safe to take our time, weigh all of the options and be cautious. However, when inspired with purpose, acting quickly and making decisions becomes simple. The opportunity came upon us just two months ago, it felt right, so we made the decision and jumped in. We are taking the leap to spread our version of chiropractic a little further east with the help of Dr. David. It is with great excitement that we announce the impending birth of Crossroads Chiropractic 125 in Epping, NH this October. As you might guess from the name, it will be located on Route 125 in Epping. (If you have family or friends in the Lee/Epping/Seacoast area, please let them know that Crossroads is arriving soon!)
P.S. Here’s the rest of the scoop… Dr. Jen and I will continue to rock the adjustments full-time in Pembroke along with the help of our newest chiro, Dr. Loni. You’ll continue to see Dr. Graham here in Pembroke on Tuesday afternoons and Dr. David will still be around on Wednesday afternoons as well. So from one lonely chiropractor we have become a family of chiropractors, here to keep you well-adjusted! Thank you for being part of our vision for a healthy, happy, well-adjusted planet
