Give Your Body What it Needs

We talk often about how the body heals itself. There is a WISDOM within your body that directs every bodily function. This wisdom uses our brain and nerve system as its vessel. How fast our heart beats, how many breaths we take and how we digest food, turning it into flesh, happens because the wisdom of our body makes it happen. It is a system that runs brilliantly and entirely without our conscious thought.

Living on earth is tough on our bodies. Constant repair must be undertaken. Much like the constant up keep of a house. You clean it this weekend, and before next weekend rolls around, it is time to clean it again!

Each day our cells are dying off and being replaced by new cells. (This process is of course being directed by our body’s innate wisdom!) In fact, every 90 days all 75 trillion cells in our body have been replaced. That means every year we get a new body approximately four times! Amazing!

Even though repair and regeneration happens without our thinking, we are still contributing to the process – either constructively or destructively with our daily choices. The wisdom of our body can only do its best with what it is given. Each day we make choices on what to “feed” our body. Veggies or junk food. Couch or walk after work. Positive thoughts, or negative. Get adjusted or skip this one. We are responsible for consciously giving our body the substrates it needs for repair, regeneration and healing. (Notice I use the word substrates, it’s not just food that matters, exercise, love, sunshine, life purpose are just a few of the other things our body requires for 100% vitality.)

So what choices are you making today? What did you choose yesterday? Did you know that the average American would lose 10 pounds and be much healthier if all they did was drink the only drink the body needs – water!

How about the food you ate? Did you give your body green veggies, organic wild game meat and fresh fruit? Did you stretch, move and jump? Did you say positive loving things about yourself and others? Did you go to bed early and greet the new day before sunrise with gratitude? Did you get your weekly wellness adjustment? What are you giving your body for materials to work with?

Your body will do its best to survive your poor choices, in hopes that tomorrow you will make better choices and give it what it really needs. Don’t lose sight of this fact: Your poor choices over time accumulate and limit your potential for radiant vitality. But tomorrow is always a new day!
