Did you know that chiropractic adjustments could improve your creativity? A pilot study in Australia has shown that after only a single adjustment, 6 of 10 subjects showed an improvement on tests demonstrating creative thinking! Seven of the subjects indicated a new direction in real world creative tasks during interview, and 6 of 10 reported a renewed energy toward creative projects already planned. 1
Does that mean we should all get an adjustment before our next art project? (Probably!) But really, this research is just one of many studies that shows chiropractic adjustments have a positive impact on brain function. This is huge stuff folks…
When you have a misaligned vertebra in your spine, it affects the function of your brain. As Dr. James Chestnut explains it, a vertebral subluxation is a “movement deficiency syndrome.” When a spinal bone is stuck out of place, it is not moving properly and thus is not feeding proprioceptive input to your brain. Proprioceptive input from your spinal bones is literally food for your brain.
When your spine is out of alignment your brain is starving for its nourishment. A chiropractic adjustment restores the required input to the brain, thus improving brain function. We see it at Crossroads daily. Practice members are reporting improvements in their anxiety levels after their adjustments… especially adjustments given to the upper part of the neck to the bone called the atlas. This week a mother reported that her son is “less grumpy” since starting chiropractic care. Last week a wife told her husband (who is a few weeks into care) that he is better natured now. We have seen practice members no longer need depression medications and sleep medications. We have kids who have been able to discontinue use of ADHD medications and become better students.
Chiropractic is a miracle for so many people. If you’re one of them, you’re lucky you found a great chiropractor! Unfortunately, so many people just aren’t aware of how good it is to be well adjusted. Chiropractic is the #1 druless health profession in the U.S. yet less than 10% of the population currently sees a chiropractor. Imagine how much healthier we would be as a whole(and how much money we would save on healthcare) if every person with a spine had a chiropractor! Please spread the word, tell your neighbors, friends and family to get a spinal check-up with their local corrective care chiropractor:)
In love and health,
Dr. Stephanie
p.s. March is “Kids and Chiropractic Month” at Crossroads, be sure to have your children checked for spinal misalginments on a regular basis!
