Have you ever noticed how much we wait? Waiting for the next great book? Waiting for the next great movie? Waiting for your turn in a game? Waiting for the birth of a child? How much time do you spend waiting? Waiting in line: at the coffee shop, at the grocery store, at the traffic light, or in traffic?
Maybe we’ve grown accustomed to waiting because we seem to do that with our health. We wait until we have some kind of pain before we seek care. We wait until the pain is constant, or we can’t stand up straight, or we can’t stand up at all before seeking care. Even then, we may not get it checked right away. Maybe it’s stubbornness, or fear – fear of the unknown, fear of the possible results, fear of the cost. Maybe it’s pride. Maybe it’s all of the above or a combination. It’s important to take care of yourself. Your health is your life. don’t wait until it’s too late.
How did you do with your New Year’s Resolution? Are you still on track? Or have you jumped off the wagon? I encourage you to keep on. We have several opportunities to help you (RE)Build your health this year. Continue to make this year your goal to be a healthier you. This month is our February Fitness Challenge. Keep up with the daily activity. Even take one of the February exercise calendars from the front desk. This month we also have our 7 Sinister Foods workshop where you can learn which foods are the worst for us to eat.
And with Valentine’s Day coming up next week. Each office location is hosting a Valen-spine Day on February 12th! Come in and be a part of our Practice Member Appreciation Day. You can also refer a friend for a FREE spinal check-up on the 12th. This is just another way that we are trying to help you and your loved ones to achieve those small changes this year to a healthier year. Opportunities abound. Don’t wait any longer.
